People help one another in Lakeview and this is evidenced by the Indian Lake Joint Ambulance District. The Squad Chief, leads a very dedicated group of participants.  Like the fire department, all members are well trained, well equipped, and dedicated volunteers.  Both the fire department and the life squad have mutual-aid agreements with neighboring community fire and rescue departments.  The rescue squad is its own entity and not a part of the Village of Lakeview and is overseen by a Board made up of four members representing the Village of Lakeview, Stokes Township, Washington Township, and the Village of  Russell's Point. The EMS Board meets on the second and fourth Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Village of Russell's Point Municipal Building.
